How to run it well
- Set capacities by headcount: roughly one main per 6 guests, one side per 8, one dessert per 10.
- Keep a "supplies" group — plates, ice, and serving spoons are the things everyone assumes someone else is bringing.
- Ask signups to note what their dish is in the comment so you don't get three potato salads.
- Turn on the waitlist for popular categories; a cancellation auto-promotes the next person and emails them.
